BSG has provided comprehensive site and environmentally-sensitive designs for the redevelopment of a former marine salvage yard into a mixed-use transit-oriented development. Site features include 685 homes, 20,000 s.f. of retail space, below-grade parking, and a new light rail stop. BSG’s effort entailed a waterfront and marina use study, bald eagle foraging area implementation, and multiple wetlands and flood area permits.
Services further encompassed overall and first phase traffic studies; conceptual design and permitting with NJDOT and Burlington County for roadway and intersection re-alignments, including a new lighted intersection on Route 130; and effort for the implementation of an at-grade NJ Transit railroad crossing which involves stacking, timing, and control utilization.
Various environmental features have been incorporated, including wetlands construction and various habitat enhancements.
Improvements and realignment of Route 130 and the County Road intersection are also part of the redevelopment.
