Wayne, NJ The WPU Science Hall Renovation and Addition consisted of a new four-story laboratory building addition totaling approximately 65,000 square feet in area. The addition will connect to the existing building with a three-level atrium. The lateral resisting system is a combination of braced frames and moment connections. The renovation/alteration of the existing building, which is 165,000 square feet in area, consist of a new north entry elevation, alterations to the existing Lecture Halls, alterations at connection points to the new addition, provision for a new Freight Elevator, a new Greenhouse, provision for floor penetrations, and support for the new rooftop mechanical equipments.
