Birdsall Services Group’s provides wastewater discharge monitoring for compliance with requirements set forth by the NJDEP through the issuance of a New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit or the local publicly owned treatment works (POTWs). Where a client fails to meet the discharge limits, BSG works with the facility to reduce their discharge of particular contaminants, and negotiate with the regulatory agency. We will also prepare or renew these permits, and often serve as an intermediary between the discharger and the POTW.

In addition, we also provide stormwater permitting for our industrial and commercial clients. The services are similar to those described above for the municipal program, but can also include sampling of stormwater discharges and reporting to the NJDEP.
