BSG designed the HVAC, electric, plumbing and fire protection systems for a new three-story, 54,000 sf Cancer Center and Medical Office Building at Hudson Valley Hospital Center as part of its major modernization program. The Hospital Center houses outpatient radiology and oncology on the ground floor and medical offices on the first and second floors. BSG provided design services for both the base building and tenant spaces.
For the first floor Medical Oncology (Infusion) Tenant Fit-Out, BSG provided design services for an approximately 7,600 sf tenant space consisting of office/consultation rooms, open and private infusion bays, exam rooms, triage rooms, administration spaces/offices, storage rooms, toilet rooms and medical mixing room. BSG’s designs included HVAC ductwork utilizing existing gas-fired rooftop equipment with electrical VAV reheat, an electrical distribution system and lighting layout, and domestic hot and cold water systems that connected to the existing building.
On the second floor, BSG provided design services for an approximately 7,200 square foot tenant fit-out for a Special Surgery Office and Orthopedic Office suites, as well as supporting spaces (exams, offices, utility rooms, etc.). BSG’s designs included the extension of the central HVAC system to support the office and patient spaces, the extension of the local power distribution from existing distribution to new local panels, lighting, new conduit and back boxes for data, local plumbing modifications for the new plumbing fixtures and performance specification of the sprinkler system extension.
