LGA is the Site Engineer of Record for redevelopment of an 8-acre site in Trenton, NJ adjacent to the Sovereign Bank Arena and just up river from the Trenton Thunder Baseball Stadium. LGA was tasked with the transformation of a large parking lot and vacant buildings into a mixed-use development, including complete demolition of the existing infrastructure followed by the construction of 99 residential units, 99,000 square feet of commercial area consisting of bars, restaurants, and entertainment, and a multi-level parking garage.
Our scope of work includes land surveying, site plan preparation, MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) design, traffic analysis, landscape and hardscape design, permitting and public utility coordination. LGA's wide range of development services were utilized in this project to produce a cohesive product for the client. The project's density required close coordination with the site engineer, landscape architect, building architect, and MEP designers to create intricate design solutions so as to not compromise the project aesthetics. LGA's landscape architecture design utilized colorful and varied hardscape materials combined with pedestrian-scale lighting to create an inviting outdoor area for arena event attendees and the general public. LGA's significant redevelopment experience in mixed-use projects is of great benefit to the project's success.
