Birdsall Services Group Announces Purchase of CMX, Inc. - March 19, 2010

Sea Girt, NJ - Birdsall Services Group (BSG), the region's premier engineering and consulting firm, announces the purchase of select assets of CMX, Inc., an engineering firm with office locations in Manalapan, Parsippany, and Voorhees, NJ as well as White Plains, NY.  No financial terms were disclosed. 

 "We have always been impressed with the quality services provided by CMX to both the private and public sectors in the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania region," said Howard Birdsall, Chief Executive Officer of BSG.  "This agreement will expand our service capabilities throughout the region and strengthen BSG's existing Land Development, Survey, Public Works, and Water Resources services currently offered to our clients."

BSG companies have been serving clients throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania with high quality design and engineering excellence.  Their experience, coupled with strong client management skills, has afforded them the opportunity to maintain long-standing relationships with many of their clients.  BSG will now be comprised of a staff of 400 with annual revenues exceeding $75 million.

Headquartered in Manalapan, New Jersey, CMX provided a wide range of services for public works, site development, environmental management, building structures, planning, and transportation services. 

Ralph J. Orlando, P.E. will serve as Executive Vice President of the land development and survey services that have been acquired by BSG.  He will be joined by several former key CMX employees, including Rocco Palmieri, Robert Foley, and Ed Caballero out of the Parsippany office; Michael McKenna, Robert Curley, and Martin Tirella out of the Manalapan office; David Fleming, Kevin Webb, Kevin Kammerer, and Anthony LaRosa out of the Voorhees office; and Chuck Utschig, Jr. out of the New York office.
