BSG Names James Johnston, PE, PP, RBP, President of PMK Group, Inc. - January 16, 2008

Sea Girt, NJ – Birdsall Services Group (BSG), the region’s premier engineering and environmental consulting firm, has announced that James Johnston, P.E., P.P., R.B.P. will serve as President of PMK Group, Inc. following BSG’s acquisition of the company.  PMK Group, Inc., an environmental consulting and engineering firm with office locations in Cranford, Farmingdale, and Marlton, New Jersey joined the BSG family of companies on January 3, 2008.   

Mr. Johnston, who also serves on the Board of Directors of BSG, joined PMK Group in 1986, soon after receiving his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Rutgers University.  He is recognized as a leading environmental expert throughout the State of NJ and has been involved in several multi-million dollar brownfield and landfill redevelopment projects.  He was most recently the Executive Vice President of Client Management and responsible for overseeing $30 million of consulting and engineering services.   

Mr. Johnston also serves as the President of ASFE/The Best People on Earth, a national organization of leading engineering firms in the country.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of ASFE, the Engineers Leadership Foundation, the Institute of Brownfields Professionals, and DARE New Jersey.  Mr. Johnston is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the NJ Society of Professional Engineers, the NJ League of Municipalities Economic Development Task Force, the American Society for Testing Materials Committees D-18 and E-50, and the Rutgers University Industrial Advisory Board. BSG is comprised of five business units including Birdsall Engineering, Inc., Morris, Johnson & Associates, Inc., DiStasio & Van Buren, Inc., LGA Engineering, Inc. and PMK Group, Inc.
