Beginning in 2001, BSG provided environmental consulting services to the property owner, Harrison Redevelopment Agency, as part of the Brownfield Redevelopment effort for the former Netti Spiegel Trucking Site. The environmental operations completed for the project included technical environmental investigation(s) per NJDEP criteria, the development of an environmental redevelopment strategy, and implementation of the redevelopment strategy concurrent with the redevelopment activities completed as part of the new Red Bull Arena construction.
To ensure success, the HRA worked cooperatively with the NJDEP wherein extensive technical and administrative interaction was employed to navigate redevelopment challenges and provide environmentally appropriate solutions. Technical solutions included both off-site and on-site impacted material management, groundwater investigation and monitoring, and engineering and administrative controls. The project culminated with the successful opening of the Red Bull Arena in March 2010.
Groundwater monitoring and reports will continue to ensure compliance with the appropriate regulations, and to confirm protection of the public and environment.
